Pok Pok is too expensive and to busy. And its food is not good enough to overcome that. do not go there. You will walk away asking yourself, "Did I just pay $20 for a half cup of rice and a little bit of meat?"

Wow that is a lot of fish sauce. I'll use some but that is a LOT. You've got me curious. I'll definitely hold on to this recipe for some legs or thighs at some point in the future. Wings are too tedious for me. Also, I'd bake because deep frying = nasty burns and oil on every possible surface.

I absolutely refuse to even cook with fish sauce at all. Yuk. If a recipe calls for it, I either just use a bit more soy sauce, or Yoshida's Gourmet Sauce, or I don't make the recipe at all. Those really do look good, though.

I totally know what you mean about fish sauce. I was making a recipe the other night that called for 2/3 cup... and I couldn't do it. The most I can do is a 1:2 ratio... that is 1 part fish sauce, to 2 parts other liquid. And at least equal parts sugar.

I admit fish sauce does smell, well, not good, but used in recipes it's always been fine to me. I'm using the Thai stuff tonight for my dinner.
