Oh, and that is AWESOME that Katie is looking at Berkeley! What is she interested in studying? I'll confess, I'm a little intimidated: it's such a huge campus. I'm afraid of getting lost, both physically and in the falling-through-the-cracks kind of way. But that may simply be the pre-enrollment jitters. Do let us know when you plan on coming out and visiting! We'd love to meet you and dispense well-meaning college advice to your daughter (having just finished that exhilarating rat-race ourselves). Do gets there in mid-June and I arrive in mid-July.

Congratulations on all the awards - you definitely deserve them...and more! Now, please accept my humble apologies for not showing up for your party...I was planning on it...had everything packed and ready to go and that's when the mister said, "Want to go shopping?!?" I mean, he might have well as told me he won the lottery and he was using a small percentage of it to buy a ONE way ticket for himself! I was THAT stunned! So of course I ditched the party and went shopping - I figure you might have another party but the mister will NEVER have another "out of body" experience like that! Hope it was a good one! Nan

Also, I cooked chicken. From scratch. Well, I didn't butcher the chicken, but it was raw. And I put it in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs. And cooked it. And no one got salmonella or food poisoning. It was actually kinda good. So, thanks for the support. Maybe one day I'll try one of your recipes.
