Knock, Knock...Housekeeping...

Have you ever had housekeeping come into your room while you were busy? At a nice hotel? With the sign on the door? With the dead bolt locked? Needless to say, me, my husband, and the manager who opened the door we all had faces like the above picture.

While not as embarrassing, I need to some housekeeping here. I need to update my blog roll. So if your blog isn't on there let me know, so I can get it on there. Also, I know one is wrong and I lost the email with the link, so Grocery Fiend please e-mail me again because I officially am the worst blogger ever.

My sister, Stacey, is due to have her baby any day now. Send some good karma her way because she is preeclampsic(?). My other sister, Robin, had this also and she ended up having a emergency c-section in the ER because she was having seizures.

Katie got her driver's permit yesterday. I hadn't been to the DMV for 10 years and I'm glad. Did you know people are crazy there? Like one lady screaming at Gino because, 'You're looking at other girls and damn she doesn't do that. Motherf*%er, don't you know I love you. It's gotts to be like that? Why do you gotta be that way?' It went on and on loudly. I couldn't help thinking that that relationship can't be saved.

Then there is the guy who slapped his two year old daughter after she wiggled in her seat. Seriously all she did was be a normal two year old, she wiggled in her seat. He slapped her and told her to act like a girl while the older little brother was a little hellion, running around and yelling.

This was my yesterday.

You know how they talk about going postal? I honestly think you would be more stressed working at the DMV.
Another reminder... Potato Ho Down entries are due by the 17th.

oh boy! i hope your sister is going to be okay. having babies is scary business.

i was at this country club type place yesterday getting a snack at the snack bar and these people.... oh boy they could NOT control their children. it was making me not want kids. they were just awful.

and then we went out for dinner and this lady was DRAGGING her three year old across the street by his arm and SCREAMING at him because he was jumping rather than walking across the street. GAH!

Poor little girl.

I despise the DMV. Who doesn't? I'm glad I haven't had to go in many, many years. Good luck with Katie becoming a driver!

Sending lots of positive vibes your sister's way! I hope the delivery goes well.

And what a surprise, being walked in on by the hotel manager! That's like something you'd see in a Sophie Kinsella novel. :-o

I had preeclampsia. The worst part was the 24 hours on the anti-seizure medication. It doesn't come back the second time around, apparently, so tell her not to be afraid to have another one! Best wishes!

Act like a GIRL?! I'd like to act like a girl and bitch-slap that asshole. Poor kid. I hope she grows up to be a race-car driver or something.

I was at the DMV two days ago and I didn't see anything. I mean I'm glad I didn't see anyone smack their kid but no love triangle crap.

Good thoughts to your sis...

Hope everything goes smoothe with your sister! I'd say the having the first child is scarey but I had four and was nervous everytime. The fear of the unknown...
I always make an appointment at the DMV
