Ack! This Is My Month...

This is my month. This does not included baseball practice, school events (there are three this week) and Rich's work schedule. He works a 12 hour shift. It's called 5 days on, 5 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. Right now he is on a 5 day on until Tuesday. Then he'll have Wednesday-Sunday off. Then he will work Monday and Tuesday, then have Wednesday and Thursday off. Confused, yet? It's been five years and I still have to look at a calendar.

We still have to clean the house, go grocery shopping, do laundry, and go to a play, just today.

Can you spell S-T-R-E-S-S-E-D?

Can you say it in a sentence? "Evil Chef Mom is stressed."

Is it a noun or verb? "I don't have the time to know that."

Origin? " Maybe Latin. Who in the hell knows?Just spell the damn word."

The word is stressed? "Yes."

M.E.

*thanks for letting me vent.

a song for you; same song I played for myself this morning and I'm sure I hardly have any of the stress you possibly are going through

Just watched pixie's video :). In lieu of a video, I'm sending over a EXTRA HOUR of FREE TIME for you to drink tea and chill out and do whatever you want. Your day now officially has 25 hours in it. (...) Didn't work? Damn postal service.

How the heck did you find the time to spend with all those beets? Yowza. I always think the springtime shuffle is way busier than the Christmas holiday shuffle. Girlfriend, you need a good wife!

My wife, who is on a Federal death sentence case jury, does a weekly menu.

The entry for Friday reads: "I don't care."

Yes, you have a C-H-A-L-L-E-N-G-I-N-G month.
Run away from home on May 6th or the 13th and come down to our place. A nice evening is waiting for you over at Napa Rose.

You are forgetting one crucial thing about being STRESSED....it's just DESSERTS spelled backwards! You definitely need to eat more desserts - that and a vat full of valium will get you through the month! Your calendar made me laugh - out loud - because it's been years since mine has looked like that! Maybe part of your stress came from all of that BEET ice cream! I can't believe you made that! It is beautiful to look at but....I made beet salad dressing today - much easier, much less clean-up and no stained hands...and then I ate dessert. Nan

How does a woman like you have time for FL Beet Ice Cream. Someone needs to take you to FL quick!

Ooooooooh. If my husband's schedule was like that I'd be downright evil too! Good gravy!

I'd be mixing up hardcore narcotic ice cream, not wasting time on those crazy beets.

I'M TOTALLY KIDDING! No narcotics here. Advil and chardonnay are as hardcore as I get.

Oh dear... Time to take some chef breaks this month and order pizza a time or two. That and eat lots of dessert.

I caught part of a "carrier" episode that was on at 4am this morning. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see a whole episode!

Hi there

I have just stumbled upon your blog. I love the clean design and fantastic photos. I am a blogger myself and always thought that design was key and you have certainly captured that! There are so many food blogs out there these days and being different to all the others is key. I have just started www.ifoods.tv which is a website for chefs, foodies and food bloggers to hand out, share recipes, photos and videos. When i was blogging I always thought i should be getting more traffic as my blog was getting lost in the masses of stuff out there so my new site is aimed at giving food bloggers and chefs a bigger platform! Hope you enjoy it and keep up the good writing and design here! I have now bookmarked you so will be regular reader, Cheers!

Whew! How well I remember. I was so worn out by the time they went away to college, I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep.

Hang in there and try to savor as much as you can. They will be gone before you even know it.

The Willster is adorable... especially with those eyebrows. He's going to be a real lady killer, lol.
