Not A Recipe For A Dutch Baby

Remember my lovely birthday post when I didn't purchase anything from Williams and Sonoma but Rich did. Seriously, what is a matter with me? Nothing from Williams and Sonoma?

Rich bought their Organic Dutch Baby German Pancake Mix. Well, I actually I bought it with the promise I'd make it. Again, what's the matter with me? Sure, I'll buy you a ten dollar pancake mix and make it.

Not. Smart.

Pay attention to the picture of the Dutch Baby on the package. Golden yellow, fluffy, and most importantly even.

Lemons to squeeze over the Dutch Baby.

Some strawberries also.....

Hmmmm... why doesn't my baby look like the baby on the package? Mine looks like it spent too much time in a Mystic Tanning booth and has a skin condition. Doesn't matter I, like any momma, still love my baby no matter what. My baby smelled and tasted great.

I've got to say, I really prefer it all uneven. Much more interesting! And prettier!

A skin condition called DELICIOUS. I'd take a bite of that baby any day. (you know, I don't get a chance to say that nearly enough!).

Awww poor little deformed baby.

It's hard not to keep a special spot in your heart for things like this :)

is it just me or does that look a lot like a yorkshire pudding?!

Looks absolutely scrumptious! As long as it tastes good, I never care much about how it appears.

Yummy, one of my favorite dishes to make - and my family loves!

Great blog!

Honestly, yours looks better. Who wants to eat some totally symmetrically perfect looking thing. It's not realistic! The nooks and crannies are the best. That's where the good stuff hides :)

too much time in the tanning bed, eh? that's nothing a little extra maple syrup can't cure. :)

Heeheehee! My partner Do usually doesn't check out other folks' blogs, but he followed my bookmark to yours last night, and was chuckling about this sentence for the next hour. He also loved your other blog with all the photos, found it very whimsical. Since he feels awkward commenting on people's blogs too (?!), I thought I would let you know that you've acquired a new fan!

The pancake looks delicious-- I made these once and they turned out way too eggy. I haven't tried it again since because I'm a wuss.
